Palm Fringed BeachRain Forest!Desert!Mountain Ranges!

The Dream....!

Somewhere in your fertile and over active imagination is a picture of yourself lazing on a palm fringed beach, occaisionally diving into a warm sea with coral reefs swarming with fish and other marine life.  Or are you climbing a wooded slope, the forest floor dapled by sunlight, birds singing and monkeys chattering as you explore part of the worlds rain forest?  Maybe you see yourself in the robes of the desert nomad, following the camel tracks of Lawrence of Arabia?  Could be you are the fearless mountaineer, struggling in a life and death battle with the elements atop the worlds largest mountain range.

We're here to show you that it's all very possible!  No longer just dreams. Everything mentioned above can be experienced on the journey overland from Europe to the Indian sub-continent.  Just look at the pictures at the head of this page!  If you have the will, (and some money!) You could be setting off on the journey of a lifetime in just a few short weeks!

The pictures you have in your mind's eye of these exotic sounding experiences are why you came to this site in the first place.  You are not the only dreamer to have lived!  Man's quest for knowledge, and his insatiable appetite for horizons new, has long fuelled a migration of our species that led mankind to populate even the most remote and inhospitable reaches of our planet. .It is that very quest for knowledge that inspired us to embark upon our journey, and it is our hope that we will inspire others to do the same.

To travel overland from Northern Europe, to the Middle East, and on to the Sub Continent of India; this is what our dreams were made of!  My wife and I have always wanted to make the long overland journey to India.  Die hard romantics, the pair of us.  But we found it remarkably easy to make our dream come true.  We bought a truck, named it 'Nosey', and off we went!  Our journey took us across Europe, the Balkans, over the Bosporus, through Turkey, to the heat and minarets of Iran and the sites of ancient Persia, then across the desert into Pakistan and India.  You'll get a 'truckers eye' view of the world!  The inevitable comparison to Alexander the Great's epic journey of conquest leaves us just a little in the shade, but on the other hand, he didn't have such a great truck, did he?!!

We travelled a total of 27,903 Kms.  Of that we drove 26,723 Kms in 'Nosey'.  1,180 Kms by ship from Patras in Greece, to Venice on the return leg of the trip.

You will also find an account of a previous use,by us, of (Bedford) trucks in an 'unusual' situation here too.  It just goes to show that some people never learn!!
